it's that time of the week again....

Well kids, it's that time of the week again. Yes -- that's right, it's time for me to bore the shit out of you with my "weekend update". I promise that it will be a quick one, as my husband has the Olympics on, and he really enjoys them, and has been yelling to the bedroom from the living room...

"Baby, they are on!"

"Shan, the Olympics are on!!"

"It's the finals for swimming!!"

I think he might want me to come and join him.... and just doesn't know how to communicate that. Either way, he'll continue to shout at me from across the house until I get up and go sit on the couch with him,

I can only be a smart ass because of the sweet post about my hubby that is below this one.

Anyhow, Friday was filled with hours by the pool, and then with some good prosecco and delicious food... followed by an impromptu Amy/Shannon running their mouths on the back porch 'til 3:30 am, while waiting for Christopher to arrive home.

Chris and Nick (Amy's significant other) hit up the Iota on Friday evening, and let's just say that it took me longer to put my husband to bed that night then it did my children! It was amusing to say the least.

We awoke on Saturday morning to find that the drunky hubby from the night before had done all of the laundry, and made us a stellar breakfast! I knew I married that man for some reason! Again, followed by hours at the pool all day Saturday -- we left Chris upstairs hoping that he would recoup from the festivities on Friday evening.

Saturday evening we headed out to Terrera Winery for Becca's Bacholerette party. It got off to a rocky start, IE. everyone was all over the place and some of us were late -- however, we ended up all eventually meeting up and having a damn good time. The band that played was great, we danced, we sang, and of course... drank a shit ton of wine. The evening came to a close fairly early that evening since I had every intention of getting up and going to church with the family on Sunday morning.

Of course, we didn't. We took the kids downtown all afternoon.... we rode the carousel, and hit up three different exhibits around town. It was a really good day to just relax with the family. I really do recommend the Muppet's exhibit. It's an amazing display of what Jim Henson did... it was far beyond anything that I had ever realized, that's fer sure.

And, as the week goes by -- I am looking more and more forward to our trip this weekend. Chris, Nick, Amy, and I are all headed to the Hampton's on Friday afternoon. *sigh* RELAXATION, here we come!
