I can't believe that Summer is coming to a close...

As I sit down to finally update ye old blog -- my children are "packing their suitcases" because they are headed to the airport, apparently. I inquired as to their destination and was simply told, "The Beach" by my daughter -- that would explain why they have their bathing suits on. When I asked how they would eat, Connor just explained "They have bananas and apples there Mommy... now, can you please just open the door for me?!" Those two make me laugh non-stop.

So, I guess it's time for the usual "Weekend Update". I know, you can't contain your excitement. Calm down!
Friday was pretty uneventful. In fact, I can't even remember what we did. Oh, now I do... Nothing. We spent the afternoon at the pool -- came home, made dinner, and I believe that Christopher and I were snoring by 9pm. Why do I have a blog again? My life is so damn entertaining, that's right.
Saturday was spent at the new house, laying out what would go where and planning the attack of this daunting task called moving. Don't get me wrong, I am thrilled to be moving into our new home -- it's just the packing, and actual moving part that is no fun. Saturday evening, I joined the Divine Miss. D at her 30th birthday celebration.

Where else, other then the infamous O'Connell's?! It was my first steps into the joint since I quit -- and I have to say, it wasn't nearly as awkward as I predicted. There was one run in with a certain someone, that left me a bit irritated... however, I just keep hearing my husbands words "If you are going to let a douche bag like that get under your skin..." and, so I didn't. I shrugged it off, and continued on with my evening, I took the high road. We celebrated in style, per usual -- and I really enjoyed spending time with Devon and her entourage. Again, per usual -- I paid dearly the next morning. I obviously, since leaving the industry have lost a considerable amount of ability when it comes to holding my alcohol... and perhaps the fact that 12:30 is late for me now, doesn't really help either. All in all -- it was a fab. time, and I was thrilled to spend one of my best's 30th with her.
Sunday we took on the drive to Lake Anna, to meet up with Micah and Michelle, my brother-in-law and sister-in-law. We took the jet-ski out on the lake for a good 3-4 hours, alternating kids, dogs, and people. Yea, that's right -- the dogs went for a ride on the ski as well. It was hysterical to see Soma on the back -- I wish that I had the camera with me. We had all intentions of staying for dinner, but when 5pm rolled around and we thought about the two hour drive that we had back home, and Christopher's usual 4 am alarm ringing in the back of our minds, we decided to cut out and head home early. Thank God we did, because we sat in at least an hour's worth of traffic making the drive three hours, not two. It was a GREAT time though, spent with brothers and sisters. I love afternoons like that... and I can't wait to do it again. Even getting tossed off the jet-ski at 50 mph by my "loving" husband was entertaining (at least for everyone else it was)... *rolls eyes*
