To get the entire run-down, and story of how they were created and exactly what they do -- please head to http://www.lukeswings.org/.
Do yourself a favor, and read how they were started, what they stand for... read through the website. It's worth it.
Now, Luke's Wings is what I would call a baby of a non-profit, it's not been long since their very first fundraiser... and they just reunited their first wounded solider with his family.
Per usual, as I look through the few pictures that Luke's Wings has on their website of the reunion... I sob.
I look at that solder's mama, and I know that her heart literally stopped the minute that she got the phone call. She felt as if she couldn't breathe, and knew that there had to be a mistake.
My heart goes out to her, her husband and the many brothers and sisters that stand around this young hero, so proudly.
What an amazing thing, to be able to help these families get to the ones that they love most when they are needed the most.

(Mom, and Dad with soldier)
(the very first family reunited by Luke's Wings!!)
